Women's rescue house

 

The client's wish is to create a Women's House, designed and built BY WOMEN, FOR WOMEN.

According to this idea, throughout the process, it will be exclusively women who will lead and carry out the project and hand it over to the users.

The building will be a place where women can feel safe, but where they can also have a social life and guarantee the necessary serenity for their children.

 

The ambition of the Women's Rescue House goes far beyond the construction of a building: the first construction aims to become a model for the dissemination of knowledge and sharing wherever it is needed.

Thanks to the simple and light construction system, even the construction can be managed directly by the women, who will then be protagonists in the development of the project as the needs evolve.

Support and training activities can also be carried out in the building, which, according to needs and thanks to its modularity, can easily be adapted to integrate the spaces necessary for new activities.

 

The aim is to create a community and not just a dedicated building.

Community spaces, shared by all the users, will be available and will allow for exchange and a social life within the community.

The "housing units", where the micro-communities will live, will guarantee everyday life with the necessary security and calm for the women and their children.

Private spaces will be integrated to allow the users to recharge their batteries in their flats (bedroom with small living room and office) as well as in the open spaces.
